Rate Limits

PreviousWorkspace APINextGitHub Issues

Last updated 2 years ago

Rate limits restrict the number of requests on VESSL API in a specified time window. These limits prevent abuse or misuse of the API, protect against denial-of-service attacks, and provide fairness on access to the API.

Each rate limit specifies the maximum number of requests allowed in its time window. If the rate limit is 1,000 reqs per 1 hour, it means 1,000 requests in any 1 hour interval are allowed, but the 1,001st request is not.

VESSL API rate limits

We provide the HTTP headers to inform you about rate limit that API has.

  • X-RateLimit-Limit: The maximum number of requests allowed for this API

  • X-RateLimit-Remaining: The number of requests left

  • X-RateLimit-Reset: The remaining time (in UTC seconds) before the rate limit resets

When an API exceeds the rate limit, the API will return HTTP 429 "Too Many Requests" response code, and the response body will contain an URL link to this document.

If you want to check or increase your rate limit, please contact .
